Nestled in the woodland gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains are 2 cottages with 3 bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 bathrooms which can be your perfect home base for an adventure in the mountains of beautiful north Georgia or maybe just a quiet retreat for you with family or friends. Surrounded by 73 acres and bordered by the Chattahoochee National Forest, our Cottages are fully equipped and ready to welcome you.
Relax and read a book on the screen porch, stroll through the gardens, take a walk in the woods or visit one of the 3 nearby State Parks: (Tallulah Gorge, Moccasin Creek or Black Rock Mountain) to see amazing long range mountain views and waterfalls. White water rafting is less than 30 minutes away and Rabun County is home to 3 Georgia wineries, 2 distilleries, and 1 craft brewery within a 15 minute drive.
These custom built cottages, Ruby and Sapphire sleep up to 6 people. Each boasts a stacked rock wood burning fireplace in the main living area perfect for a fireside chat or cozy cool evenings. The open air deck beckons you to commune with nature as you enjoy morning coffee among the trees. Superior bath and bed linens are provided and a washer and dryer is included for you convenience.
We have mentioned only a few of the many things to do in our area. "North Georgia’s Outdoor Playground” is open year round.

Right down the road there are 9 indoor Pickle Ball courts and Rabun Arena where many events are held, such as barrel racing, dog shows, live stock and horse shows, concerts, rodeos, tractor shows, fairs and so many more. Lake Rabun and Lake Burton which are fed by the Tallulah River are nearby. Each lake's marinas have provisions waters sports items such as Pontoon boats at Lake Rabun and Pontoons, Ski Boats and Jet Skis at Anchorage Marina, LaPrade's Marina has Pontoon Boats and on site dining with a variety of restaurants on Lake Burton. For some fun water excitement you can book a River Rafting experience on the Georgia side , twenty minutes from Tiger on the Chattooga River or on the South Carolina side. Tallulah Gorge has been a wonder for many generations and is only 15 minutes from the cottages. The Chattahoochee National Forest is across the road from the property where you will be staying. You can plan a day of traveling to the many vineyards and the two distilleries and a brewery and you can go by shuttle, there are two companies you can make reservations with. Your driver can pick you up and deliver you back to your cottage. If you're cooking in the cottage ask the pourer at the wine testing room about recommending what wines will go well with your menu. The Chamber of Commerce is 10 minutes away and is a state of the arts hands on experience. I can imagine you planning you next trip here with all the information you will glean from the helpful volunteers. The whole family will enjoy the Tiger Drive In.
The cottages have two levels. In Ruby there is great room with a dining area, counter top, with stools, a table on the screened porch and one on deck near the charcoal grill. The living room area has a stacked stone fire place. The Ruby kitchen has red cabinets and The Sapphire cottage has blue cabinets and fully equipped. The pantry has a few supplies, and the laundry closet has detergents, the closet by the front door an iron and ironing board, and more. There are 5 beds and 1 and 1/2 bathrooms. The loft has 2 twins, on the main floor, a bedroom with a queen bed and a bedroom with two twins. They are identical floor plans.
There is parking for up to 3 cars at each cottage and more parking in a lot across the lake.

Family reunions are more fun outdoors. The lush green meadow provides room for your family's volleyball or horseshoe tournament. If you're not in the mood for competition, replenish your spirit in an Adirondack chair and breathe in the fresh mountain air. You may use our camping site, audio-visual equipment, and wireless Internet. If you want to stay for the night, our lodging in Ruby, Sapphire, and Shadow Rock can accommodate up to 26 people.
